[Book Tag] The Unpopular Opinion Book Tag

book tag

I think I was tagged before for this particular tag but since I’ve lost my bookmarks I don’t remember. If you’re the one who tagged me please let me know so that I can link your post to mine and thank you!

Yesterday, Analee [Book Snacks] was as sweet and kind as always and tagged me to do The Unpopular Opinion Tag and I am thrilled cause you all know how much I enjoy expressing my opinion. Coming up next as always is Rant Tuesday so it’s a great day to just say what I think.

Let’s do this!

♚ A popular book or series that you didn’t like.

Please don’t kill me or hate me but my answer is…

Yes yes yes I know you all love this book. It’s not that I hate it cause I don’t. I just didn’t like it… at all. BUT I finished it and this has to mean something, right? I usually dnf books I don’t like.

Not going to apologize to those who liked it but I hope you all understand that I am allowed to have different taste and opinion!

♚ A popular book that everyone hates but you love.

My first YA paranormal book ever… has a very special place in my heart!

A love triangle where your ship did not sail.

Oh don’t let me start with this!! Two series came in mind and I have to talk about both please cause I feel the need.

I really really really really really really liked Adrian, ok? I was shipping him with Rose so hard and my feelings were hurt when Rose went after Dimitri anyway. Poor Adrian… even though he got his own series, I still can’t get over how disappointed I was. I didn’t even read the final book of VA because I was spoiled that she really ends up with Dimitri. Oh what a surprise!

Calla was supposed to mate with Ren… Ren was absolutely the best! Calla falls in love with a human boy I don’t even remember his name. Why Calla? Why? You had Ren and you just gave him up. Dnf-ed the series of course. I won’t spoil you at all but I didn’t like what happened next.

♚ A beloved character you didn’t like.

America drove me crazy. Even though she is one of the most lovable characters, I just don’t like her at all. Especially after reading ‘The Heir’.

♚ A popular genre that you hardly reach for.

Dystopia. I think dystopian books are pretty much the same story with some differences. All about a girl who’s about to change the cruel world she lives in.

♚ A popular author you can’t get into.

Hm I don’t think I have one I can’t get into.

♚ A popular books series you have no interest in reading.

I’ll go the same as Analee.

I’ve watched the movie since it was a bit more romantic but just that. I am not really into erotica and especially BDSM. I have no idea why the series went viral but I don’t really want to know either.

♚ An adaptation you like better than the book.

That would be Maze Runner but I haven’t read the book. So I guess I’ll go with Divergent. Yes yes I loved the book but I liked the characters so much more in the movie. Book’s characters were a bit childish for me but in the movie they were badasses.

Want to say your opinion? Let me know and I’ll officially tag you. I was away for too long and I don’t know who has done this tag or not. Don’t be shy. I was tagged that way by Analee~

[Book Tag] Summertime Madness Book Tag

book tag

I would like to thank lovely Analee [Book Snacks] and the little pokemon Kira [Fieitty Reads] for tagging me, sorry for being so late. You guys take a look at their really interesting blog because they deserves it.

Let’s do this.

❊ Show a book with a summery cover.

❊ Pick one fictional place that would be the perfect destination for a summer vacation!

Ι guess Summerton from [Red Queen] would be a beautiful place to spend the summer.

❊ You’re about to go on a flight to your summer vacation. But you want to read a book that lasts for the whole flight, what novella do you choose?

Aiden is my favorite character and a novella about him would be the best way to spend the time.

❊ You have a case of summertime sadness what happy book do you pick up to shine a smile on your face?

❊ You’re sitting at the beach all alone…which fictional character would be your beach babe?

Oh that would be either Caleb from [Significance] or Aiden from [Covenant].

❊ To match your ice cream you want an icy cool sidekick! Which fictional side kick do you pick?

Jen from [The Grey Wolves].

❊ Share the Summertime Happiness! Who do you TAG?

 Vivian [Outside Hook]

❊ Rae [Bookmark Chronicles]

❊ Kyra and Nikki [Book Allure]

❊ Emily [The Little Book Afair]

❊ Kerry [Kerryberrybooks]

❊ Daniela [Books to get lost in]

Think back: Your favourite book as a child?

Oh that’s an easy question! I’ll go with Harry Potter of course, even though The Inheritance series was as close as HP in my heart!

Which fictional character would you like as a brother? As a sister?

Nick [Elemental] as my brother and Penryn [Penryn & The End of Days] as my sister. They both proved how much they love their families and their siblings and that they would do anything in the world to keep them safe and sound.

If your life would be a book… which genre would it be?

Hm, at the moment my life is boring. Back in high school it was full of teenage drama so I guess my book would be a contemporary romance > high school. Yup, such a drama queen.

What is your biggest pet peeve in books?

It makes me so angry and I feel like getting into the book be in a slapping spree.

What is your favourite book turned into movie/tv series?

I guess I’ll go with Divergent. I was not disappointed and I really liked the cast! (maybe more than I should have)

What is the worst book turned into movie/tv series?

That would be The Mortal Instruments. I hated the movie cast and how they practically ruined the plot but I hope that Shadowhunters will be better. At least I liked the cast.

Which was the last book that made you lose sleep because you read way too long into the night?

Oh that actually happened last night with To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

Have you ever dreamed about a book?

No, but I want so badly to dream about a book I really love.

Who is your favourite side character?

That’s the easiest question ever! Ristan [The Fae Chronicles]. My dear is so awesome that he got his own book. [A Demon’s Dark Embrace] How perfect is that? I can’t wait for it to get published.

Who is your favourite villain?

Oh, I’ve never thought about that, actually. Maybe the Lord of our hearts, Voldemort?

Which book has to be published right now because you can’t take the wait any longer?

Hm, none for now. I usually read finished series.

✦ 11 random facts about myself ✦

My real name is Evangelia and it means ‘good news’.

I cry a lot.

I love collecting useless stuff.

I think I like attention and getting aknowledged more than I should.

My favorite color is pink and if I could everything would be pink.

I am hopeless romantic and I believe love is the greatest gift.

I am into dancing but I am not proud of my dancing skills.

I want to get married soon and have kids (like in a year or two).

I need my memories and so I keep a journal since I was 13 and I take photos all the time.

I used to write fanfics based in my love life, it was awesome.

Some day I’ll be a publisher and I’ll be helping new writers publish their books.

my questions

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned from a book?

What book can you read hundreds of times and never get tired of?

What quote from any book will you never forget and why?

Do you own any Fandom Merchandise?

Fictional Place You Wish Was Real?

How many books do you own?

Any weird reading habits?

What is the worst book you’ve ever read?

What was the first book that had a major influence on you?

Is there a book you are scared is not going to be all you hoped it would be?

Is there any book you prefer the film/TV adaptation of?

my tags

I feel so sad when I am not tagged and I don’t want any of you to feel that way, so I decided this time to just tag whoever wants this award. You all deserve it so if you wish to answer the questions and have the award in your blog than don’t hesitate and leave a comment. I’ll tag you without a second thought! You are all awesome~

[Book Tag] The Reading Habits Tag!

book tag

Hey guys! I am back with another tag thanks to the awesome Raven [Dreamy Addictions], the sweet Josephine [Josie’s Book Corner], the cute Emily [The Little Book Affair] and the fellow [Ultimate Fangirl] Bianca . Check out their blog because you really don’t want to miss their posts!

Let’s do this!

Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

To be honest I usually read on my (or my boyfriend’s) bed. It’s the most comfortable place because I can change positions. My waist is usually in pain so I can’t afford to make it worse. BUT I also have another certain place and that would be the bus. Yup! I am on the road all the time and reading in the bus is a way to ignore the weird people around me.

Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I have so many bookmarks and some of them are special to me because they’re kpop related and I’ve bought them as collectibles. So I mostly use the bus ticket as a bookmark. Like I said before I am always on the road.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?

I stop reading when I feel like stop reading. I don’t get the question. Is it about loosing control or something like that? No, that happens the rare times I find a good book to read.

Do you eat or drink while reading?

If the book is not physical then I do both. Lately I’ve been reading ARCs so I use my tablet. I am a foodie so I can’t resist.

Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

Nope, no multitasking. It’s not a talent of mine to multitask in general.

One book at a time or several at once?

Usually is just one book. I am a very strict and organized person and getting out of my program, plan and lists it’s killing me.

Reading at home or everywhere?

I prefer at home but I’m forced to also read on the bus.

Reading out loud or silently in your head?

I have never considered reading out loud, wow. I wouldn’t do it but it hadn’t cross my mind at all.

Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
I do skip pages and they’re mostly sex scenes. I am not into erotica but if I like the book and I want to read it then I skip the sex scenes, especially if they are 65% of the book. I can’t deal with them and I find them unnecessary.

Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

Hahahahaha! Stupid question and I don’t even have to answer.

Do you write in your books?

No, I have a notebook and I keep all my reviewing notes there. Why ruin the book?

[Book Tag] The Secret Life of A Blogger

book tag

Hey guys, I’m back with another tag. Raven [Dreamy Addictions], Kelly [Dancing Through The Pages] and Analee [Book Snacks] were kind enough to tag me and I’m more than glad to answer these questions! Let’s have some fun~

1.How long have you been a blogger?

I first created this blog last year but I didn’t update it often. A couple of months ago, I started posting some random reviews but I can say that it’s been a month since I decided to actually start blogging.

2.At what point do you think you will stop?

So far, blogging makes me less stresful and it helps me. I think I’ll stop blogging when I am too busy or when I have serious problems and I won’t be able to consider blogging.

3.What is the best thing?

New friends, new ideas, new books.

4.What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?

The worst is that I spend a lot of time blogging and I read less. I think I need to start doing the exact opposite. Read more. blog less.

5.How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?

Depends on what I’m looking for. Usually it doesn’t take too long because I make all the icons by myself without using pictures. When I do, it takes a couple of minutes.

6.Who is your book crush?

That’s easy because I am picky and I have a small number of book crushes. Here is my full top 5, with pictures and reasons why I love these guys.

[Top 5 Favorite Male Characters]

7.What author would you like to have on your blog?

Shelly Crane, Jennifer L. Armentrout and Brigid Kemmerer for starters. I like many authors and they’re all welcomed to be in my blog.

8.What do you wear when you write your blog posts?

Usually pjs.

9.How long does it take you to prepare?

My daily posts take about 5-10 minutes. Other posts about 15 and when I review it takes from half an hour to almost an hour.

10.How do you feel about the book blogger community/culture?

I am just so happy and excited to be part of the blogger community. I am also thankful to those who treat me well and are partners with me in this beautiful journey.

11.What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?

Well that’s a question for successful bloggers but I guess interesting, daily posts and evens will make your blog popular and of course making friends will double the time.

[Book Related] ‘Would you rather’ book tag

book tag

Hello, I was kindly tagged by Raven [@dreamyaddictions] and [Bookwormaniac] for a ‘Would you rather’ challenged and here I am~

Thank you Raven!

Would you rather only read trilogies or only read standalones?
As much as I love trilogies sometimes they tire me, especially if the story is not that good. I need standalones for breaks. In general yes, I would rather read trilogies.

Would you rather only read male or female authors?
I prefer reading high fantasy books written by males because there is balance when it comes to romance and action. Some female authors tend to focus more in romance. If I want to read romance, I pick a book from that genre. In general I don’t really mind. If the author is talented, then it doesn’t matter.

Would you rather shop at Barnes and Noble or Amazon?
I guess Amazon because I trust is safe. I haven’t heard of Barnes and Noble.

Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies?
A movie is not enough to cover the whole book. I prefer (decent) TV series or even better, a series of movies.

Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?
Are you kidding me of course it would be 5 books per week.

Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer?
I don’t think I can handle critisism well. I am a bit overdramatic and if my work is not likeable or at least decent even to a few people I may be depressed. I can review but I don’t like to be on the other side so I guess reviewer it is.

Would you rather be a librarian or a bookseller?
Librarian. I love organizing stuff and especially books based on anything. That’s my dream job.

Would you rather read only your favorite genre, or every other genre but your favorite?
My favorite genre.

Would you rather only read ebooks or physical books?
I am a fan og physical books. If only they were cheap in Greece I would be the happiest person alive.
