So, I am going to present to you a few books and maybe you can help me out by telling me your opinion. Should I read them? Which do you think it’s more interesting?

Let’s do this.

Graceling meets The Selection in debut novelist Victoria Aveyard’s sweeping tale of seventeen-year-old Mare, a common girl whose once-latent magical power draws her into the dangerous intrigue of the king’s palace. Will her power save her or condemn her?

Mare Barrow’s world is divided by blood—those with common, Red blood serve the Silver- blooded elite, who are gifted with superhuman abilities. Mare is a Red, scraping by as a thief in a poor, rural village, until a twist of fate throws her in front of the Silver court. Before the king, princes, and all the nobles, she discovers she has an ability of her own.

To cover up this impossibility, the king forces her to play the role of a lost Silver princess and betroths her to one of his own sons. As Mare is drawn further into the Silver world, she risks everything and uses her new position to help the Scarlet Guard—a growing Red rebellion—even as her heart tugs her in an impossible direction. One wrong move can lead to her death, but in the dangerous game she plays, the only certainty is betrayal.

Why I want to read it?

I am not really into dystopian books but this seems different. It’s like a twisted fairytale and you guys know my hopeless romantic soul. Kings, princes and nobles; that’s my thing.

From the New York Times bestselling author of Archer’s Voice.Becoming Calder is the first part in a two-part romance series. The conclusion, Finding Eden, is available now.

There is a place in modern day America with no electricity, no plumbing, and no modern conveniences. In this place, there is no room for dreams, no space for self-expression, and no tolerance for ambition.

In this place, there is a boy with the body of a god and the heart of a warrior. He is strong and faithful and serves his family honorably. But he dares to dream of more.

In this place, there is a girl with the face of an angel and a heart full of courage. To her family, she is the vision of obedient perfection. But she dares to want that which she has been told can never be hers.

Becoming Calder is the story of good versus evil, fear versus bravery, and the truth that the light of love has always found its way into even the darkest of places . . . From the beginning of time, to the end of the world.

THIS IS THE FIRST PART IN A TWO-PART SIGN OF LOVE SERIES INSPIRED BY AQUARIUS. THE SECOND PART, FINDING EDEN, IS AVAILABLE NOW. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and graphic sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Why I want to read it?

I’ve read Archer’s Voice and god, I wasn’t able to stop thinking about Archer for days after that. The blurb is so unique and I trust Mia Sheridan a lot. If her writing style is like Archer’s Voice then I am already in love with this book.Read More »

aboutthebook icon

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn’t anything new. They’d been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the ‘man’ in man-whore. He’s never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn’t want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she’s perfect and she’s everything. But the feelings he has for her, he’s always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they’re stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor’easter, there’s nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

Reasons why to read this book?

1) It’s written by Jennifer L. Armentrout (actually her alter ego J.Lynn) who’s really talented. Her writting style is amazing and she can make you feel like you’re in the book, living among the characters.
2) The plot might seem cliche but there are twists that can keep your interest in the whole story. Personally I wasn’t able to stop reading it.
3) The characters are so… real… and you will fall in love with them and their relationship/friendship. They made me wish I had someone so freaking close to me.
4) It’s steamy enough and not tiring. The mature content is not too much but enjoyable.
5) Fun and easy to read when you need something to relax you.
6) Maybe the best book I’ve read so far in the “friends-to-lovers” category.

Enjoy!

She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she’s ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive.
Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, and a pain as well, but Caleb’s enemies know he’s imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities and take her from him.

Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

Reasons why to read this book?

Call me hopeless romantic and a sucker for that kind of love but I will give you my reasons…

1) One touch… I wish I could just touch someone and know that we’re meant to be!
2) They can feel each other’s heartbeat…!
3) They have abilities!
4) They need to touch in order to survive…! Can you imagine that? I love skinship!
5) It’s well written and the are twists in the plot that can keep your interest!
6) The main characters are not annoying and you’re definitely going to love them. Also there are many more lovely characters!
7) There is more to this book than romance! There is enough action, mystery and suspense. Angst as well and comedy.
8) It’s everything a book should have been! Amazing~

Personaly when I finished the series… I just couldn’t stop thinking of their love, their bond and all the things they shared. It’s a love story that took my breath away~ I can’t help but read it and read it, again and again!

aboutthebook icon

INTENSE. DANGEROUS. ADDICTIVE.

Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

Reasons why to read this book?

It’s realistic. The book pictures a relatiosnhip between two damaged people. It’s about a weird relationship were everything’s not simply ok. Travis and Abby can both be stupid, unreasonable, dangerous for each other and sometimes psychotic. Travis is not the usual perfect male. He has violence issues and he could be called sick. But that’s the thing… Abby is not the usual perfect female! She has a secret dark past and she’s been through a lot of ugly stuff. So they both need to stay away from each other but they both can’t do that. When they are together, they can’t stand each other and fight but when they are apart, it kills them. Read it and see how they both try to be better for each other… how they try to make this work!
You won’t regret it!
